Before I Get to Fly To Connecticut.....

Hi to all Howie's IM Remarkable contest team,

Before I get to fly to Connecticut, and this is going to be a big prize.... because I have to fly all the way from Israel.... let me briefly introduce myself.

My name is Meirav Schwartz (maybe a lost relative ?) . I've been "marketing" online for just about a year now. I am not exactly a complete newbie, but, frankly, I am only starting to see the results and form my own way of marketing.

I remember the first day I discovered Clickbank... this was a major revelation for me... That I can actually get a link and make money.

Then I discovered some hot shot marketers who claim that you must have a list. So I started building a list through giveaways. This was a most remarkable step for me because I had no idea how to build a website (any website) and what an autoresponder is !!!!

I knew I was getting some success when Aweber raised my fee over the 500 list mark, but actually was barely making money from the list to cover the costs, hosting, and my courses....

I was looking for a new model. Something that would not involve direct costs (such as PPC) yet get me listed in Google somehow and on the 1st page. I tried to put on some Adsense sites but after waiting for weeks and not seeing them in Google, I suspected it would be a waste of time.

Then I stumbled across Howie's list and started to listen. When he said that Adsense is kind of dead I was glad to leave this model and move on.

Then I started learning how to build WP blogs and implementing some of the web 2.0 properties model. Although I had been familiar with Squidoo and put some lenses on, they were not really making money. I also lacked the "seed" base from which to grow.

Another breakthrough came when I decided to purchase Website Authority X. Since they provided a good SEO WP template. I picked up the "Forex" niche (although I knew nothing about it). That's when I started seeing some money rolling in... However, this niche was raised sharply and took a deep dunk due to the crazy "Forex Robots" marketing... there were too many product returns and I ended up owing Clickbank money !!!

Now its the exact timing to enter a new niche and I am glad to have this opportunity to participate in the Most Remarkable Marketer Competiton.

I am picking up the weight loss niche, since I can truly identify with this niche. It seems that for every Dollar I make online, I gain 10 Pounds as bonus :-()

My product is going to be the Rapid Action Metabolism Program by Bill and Jim Germanakos (the 4th season biggest losers).

I picked this product mainly because of the strong branding behind it. I think it is easier to rank for branding keywords.
